We are pleased to announce that the Guidelines for the Utilization of Generative AI have been established at Ibaraki National College of Technology. Thanks to the efforts of administrative staff and many other related parties, the guidelines have been compiled with a focus on improving the quality of learning. In particular, we were deeply impressed by the refined writing of the linguistics professor. We hope that these guidelines will contribute to our educational activities. AI Class Conducted at Ibaraki University Elementary School

On June 24, 2025, I conducted an AI class with Ms. Ayako Kounokawa for 99 fifth-grade students at Ibaraki University Elementary School. The class theme was “With AI - Beyond Evolution,” where students learned about technological evolution (the transition of telephones and programming languages) and deepened their understanding of the rapid development of AI, including ChatGPT. Lecture on Generative AI Implementation at PRIME Corporate Association's First General Meeting

On June 17, 2025, I delivered a lecture on “Improving Business Efficiency with Generative AI” at the first general meeting of the Ibaraki NICT Corporate Partnership Association (PRIME Corporate Association). The presentation covered concepts such as measuring AI proficiency through “flight hours” and the importance of developing “ace pilots” within organizations. PRIME企業会第1回総会で生成AI活用について講演しました

2025年6月17日,茨城高専連携企業会(PRIME企業会)の第1回総会にて,「生成AIを活用した業務効率化」について講演を行いました. 講演では,AI習熟度を「フライト時間」で評価する考え方や,企業でのエースパイロット育成の重要性などをお話しました. 質疑応答では「AIに頼りすぎる若手への指導方法」「AIに興味を示さない年配者への対応」という,どの企業でも共通する悩みが寄せられ,AI導入は技術面だけでなく組織文化の課題でもあることを実感しました. 参加者からは「フライト時間という考え方が目からウロコだった」「早速ChatGPT Plusに登録した」といった前向きな反響をいただきました. PRIME企業会を通じて,地域企業の皆様と共にAI活用の可能性を探っていけることを楽しみにしています.

茨城大学教育学部附属小学校でAI授業を実施しました

2025年6月24日,茨城大学教育学部附属小学校にて,神野河彩子先生と共に第5学年約100名を対象にAI授業を実施しました. 授業では「AIとともに~しんかの先へ~」というテーマで,技術の進化(電話やプログラミング言語の変遷)を学び,ChatGPTをはじめとするAIの急速な発展について理解を深めました.後半では,実際にAI絵本共作アプリを使って児童たちが絵本制作に挑戦しました. 小林先生からのフィードバックによると,児童たちからは「AIは完璧ではないことが分かった」「AIとこれから一緒に何かを作っていきたい」といった感想が寄せられ,AIの特性を理解しながら創造的に活用する姿勢を学んでくれたようです. このような貴重な機会をいただいた茨城大学教育学部附属小学校の先生方に心より感謝申し上げます.

Visualizing Conversations with ChatGPT o3

On April 17, 2025, a new model called “o3” was released for ChatGPT. It has been an incredibly enjoyable experience, expanding both the range and depth of what I can explore. The graph below visualizes my daily conversation volume with o3, based on data exported from the Data Controls. With the continuous discoveries and learning it supports, it feels unimaginable to have any limits on interaction.
